A good calcium supplement for nursing moms and babies
List of Ingredients
1qt cold water
2 broccoli branches washed and cut into 1/4-inch rounds
1/2 cup collard or dandelion greens, rinsed well and chopped roughly
1/2 cup well rinsed, roughly chopped kale
3 carrots, scrubbed, trimmed, and cut into 1/4-inch roundsRecipe
Place cold water in a medium sized pot with a close-fitting lid.
Add all vegetables.
Cover tightly (for better nutrient retention) and bring broth to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 1 hour.
Strain broth, discard vegetables.
Serve warm or cool in a bottle or cup or freeze in ice cube trays and pop into favorite juice.
