    Dilly Green Tomatoes

    List of Ingredients


    • green tomatoes, small and firm, quartered
    • 1 garlic clove or 2 tsp. garlic powder
    • 1 stock celery or celery seed
    • 1 hot green pepper or green pepper
    • 1 head dill or 2 tsp. dill weed
    • small carrots
    • small onions
    • cauliflower
    • 2 qt. water
    • 1 qt. cider vinegar
    • 1 c. salt


    Instructions


    1. In each qt. jar add tomaotes, cloves, celery, peppers, dill, carrots, onions and cauliflower.

    2. Combine and cook water, vinegar and salt for 5 minutes.

    3. Pour hot mixture to within 1/8" from top of jar. Seal at once.

    4. May boil dill with brine.

    5. Liquid fills about 6 quarts.

    6. Let stand 10 days.
