    List of Ingredients


    • 2 qts. water
    • 1 qt. brown vinegar
    • 1 1/8 c. sugar
    • 1/2 c. pickling salt
    • 5 onions. small
    • 5 garlic bud
    • 10 heads of dill
    • 10 fresh grape leaf


    Instructions


    1. Cook together the water, brown vinegar, sugar and pickling salt until boils. In bottom of boiling hot quart jars put half small onion, half garlic bud, whole head dill, 1 fresh grape leaf. Stack whole pickles in wide mouth jars; then repeat ingredients in top of jar--fresh grape leaf, 1 head dill, half garlic bud, and half small onion.
    2. Pour boiling juice over everything. Put in boiling water bath; turn off stove and let stand overnight. Eat in one week.
    3. Makes 5 quarts.
