Recipe Introduction


Our grandpaws and grandmaws had no roads to haul in stoves. They leaned on outside and chimney hearth cookin. Caution, use water ground meal in all our recipes.





List of Ingredients



• 2c. cornmeal
  
• 1/2T. salt
  
• 1c. hot water
  
• 2T. shortening, lard or bar's grease
  
• 1 1/2 c. cold water
  






Instructions



1. After mixing in salt, pour scalding water on meal. Use cold water to keep mix so it pours kind of slowlike.
   
2. Now you warm up shortenin and stir. Pour on hot hearthstone and turn a couple times.
