    1 Tbsp. (15mL) corn oil
    1 1/4 lb (569g) beef shank cross cuts
    2 qts (2L) water
    1 cup (240mL) diced celery
    1/2 cup (120mL) chopped onion
    10 Oz. (280g) package frozen mixed vegetables
    1 cup (240mL) salt-free canned tomatoes, chopped
    6 Oz. (168g) can salt-free tomato paste
    1 Tbsp. (15mL) sugar
    2 1/2 tsp (12.5mL) Mrs. Dash� Original Blend
    2 tsp (10mL) vinegar
    1/4 cup (60mL) cold water
    3 Tbsp. (45mL) cornstarch

    Recipe




    1. Heat oil in 3 Qt (3L) saucepan or Dutch oven.

    2. Add beef and brown over medium heat.

    3. Add 2 Qt water, celery, and onion.

    4. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.

    5. Remove shanks to cool.

    6. Stir mixed vegetables, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, Mrs. Dash� Original Blend, and vinegar into broth mixture.

    7. Simmer for 1 hour.

    8. Remove meat from shanks and cut into small chunks: return to vegetable mixture.

    9. Combine 1/4 cup (60mL) water and cornstarch in small bowl: mix well until smooth.

    10. Stir into vegetable mixture and heat until slightly thickened
