    Crockpot - Taco Stew

    Source of Recipe

    from practical recipes

    Recipe Introduction

This is a great recipe in the winter, but is good year round.
Cornbread or warm tortillas also go very good with this.

    List of Ingredients

    2 lbs. lean ground beef
    4 15/16oz. cans stewed tomatoes
    3 15/16oz. cans pinto beans
    3 15/16oz. cans corn
    2 packets of taco seasoning
2 packets of dry hidden valley ranch dressing mix

    Recipe

    Need a 6 quart crockpot/slow cooker.
Brown the meat in a frying pan and drain the grease off.
Add the taco seasoning packets, following the package directions.
Liquefy the stewed tomatoes in a blender/food processor.
Drain the beans and corn and rinse.
After the meat is ready, add all ingredients to crock pot and stir.
Simmer on low for 4 hours or longer.
The longer it simmers the better it is.

If you like it a little spicy, use 2 cans of stewed tomatoes with rotel (also liquefy in blender)
