    Fish w/bacon, baked

    2 pounds cod, flounder, or sole fillets
    4 slices bacon
    4 thin slices lemon
    1/2 cup condensed tomato soup
    1/2 cup water
    2 small bay leaves
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 medium sliced onion, separate into rings
    paprika
    parsley sprigs, optional

    Grease baking dish.
    Lay 2 slices bacon on bottom of dish.
    Place fish on top of bacon in greased baking dish.
    Cover with remaining bacon and lemon slices.
    Spread onion rings around on top of lemon.
    Combine tomato soup and water.
    Add bay leaves, salt and pepper and pour over top.
    Bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Place fish on serving platter.
    Strain sauce and pour around and between fish.
    Sprinkle fish ightly with paprika.
    Garnish with fresh parsley sprigs.
    Makes 4 servings.
