    List of Ingredients




    3/4 Cup soft shortening (Crisco)
    1 Cup brown sugar, packed
    1 egg
    1/2 Cup applesauce
    2 1/4 Cups flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 cup seedless raisins
    1/2 Cup chopped nuts

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 375�. Mix together the shortening, brown sugar & egg. Stir in applesauce. Sift together flour, soda, salt & spices, then stir into mix. Add raisins & nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
