    List of Ingredients




    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
    1/4 cup Spanish olive oil
    2 cups canned tomato puree or 8 large, sun ripened tomatos, peeled, seeded
    and diced
    1 Tablespoon vinegar
    1 cup bread cubes
    1/2 large cucumber, peeled, coarsely chopped
    1 sweet red or green pepper, coarsely chopped
    1 bottle club soda, chilled
    2 scallions, diced
    1 dozen small radishes, thinly sliced

    Recipe



    Mix garlic with salt and cumin. Beat in 1/4 cup olive oil, then combine with
    pureed tomatoes and vinegar. Beat briefly in blender. Mixture should not be
    completely smooth. Cover. Chill thoroughly 3 or 4 hours. Prepare croutons by
    frying bread cubes in more olive oil until gold and crisp. Drain croutons on
    absorbent paper. Pour chilled tomatoes mixture into 6 soup dishes. Add small
    amount of club soda to each bowl, mix. Add croutons. Pass diced vegetables
    in separate bowls for garnish.
