    Pear Marmalade

This is a wonderful jellie and is just about my husbands favorite! It comes from my mom. I can pears when they are in season so I can use them for the marmalade in the winter!!

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 Quarts of peeled pears, cored and thinly sliced then cut into pieces
    • 1 large can of sliced pineapple
    • 2 large seedless oranges
    • 12 cups sugar (this is a 5 lb. bag!)
    • 1 small jar (4oz) of cherries

    Instructions

    1. Drained the canned pineapple and cut each slice into about one quarter inch pieces. Cut the orange (with the peel on!) into thin slices then cut each slice into about anot 6 wedges.
    2. Put pears, oranges and pineapple and sugar in a large pot. Cook down and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and boil, gently stirring occasionally until the fruit begins to look tarnslucent (about 1 hour). Drain the cherries and chop them into small pieces. Add them to the other fruits and stir. Put the marmalade into jars and process.
