Buttermilk Pie

1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 T. All-purpose flour
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Recipe
Cream butter on high speed of mixer.
Gradually add sugar, beating well.
Add flour and beat until smooth.
Add eggs and beat until well blended.
Add buttermilk and vanilla; beat well.
Pour filling into pie shell.
Bake 5 minutes at 400 degrees.
Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 45 minutes, or until set.
Cool to room temperature; chill.
