    Quick Doughnuts and Doughnut Holes

    List of Ingredients





    11-oz. canned buttermilk biscuits
    1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
    1 quart vegetable oil
    Chocolate Glaze, optional
    1 cup sugar

    Chocolate Glaze
    1/4 cup half-and-half
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
    1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels

    Recipe



    Separate biscuits. Cut hole from center of each biscuit with apple corer, reserving dough balls. Pour oil into Dutch oven; heat to 350 degrees. Fry doughnuts, in batches, 30 seconds on each side or until golden. Repeat procedure with dough balls. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Roll doughnuts and doughnut holes evenly in sugar mixture, or, if desired, dip in Chocolate Glaze, recipe below. Makes 10 doughnuts and 10 doughnut holes.


    In glass bowl, microwave half-and-half on high power 1 minute or until hot. Add chocolate morsels, stirring until smooth. Stir in powdered sugar. Makes 3/4 cup.
