Pear Salad

Recipe Introduction


Prepare the pears and toss the salad with the dressing just before serving.


1/2 cup oil
3 Tbs apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp celery seed
1/4 tsp salt

Combine all ingredients in a jar with a very tight lid. Shake well until sugar is dissolved and the dressing is blended. Set aside in the refrigerator.

2 heads butter lettuce, torn into pieces
2 pears, cored and chopped
1/2 cup toasted walnuts
3 oz blue cheese, crumbled

Combine all salad ingredients and pour dressing over, tossing to coat.

Serves 6
