    Daddy's Favorite Melt

This is the easiest hot sandwich I have ever made. I came up with this one when I tired of the old tuna melt standby. My husband begs me to make this on those nights he works late!! Just double ingredients to make more than two sandwiches!!

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 can albacore in water (tuna in water if fine also)
    • 2 slices of red onion
    • 2 tsp. italian seasoning
    • 1/2 cup preshredded jack and cheddar cheese
    • bread (your preference)
    • mayo (optional)
    • salt and white pepper
    • butter

    Instructions

    1. Open and drain your albacore (or tuna). Use a fork to mash the meat well. Add cheeses to this mix and then the italian seasonings. Add salt and white pepper to taste.
    2. Spread mayo on your choice of bread, then place red onion slices on top of mayo and spread your albacore mix on top.
    3. Spread butter on your bread and grill on med/low heat until the cheeses start to melt with the albacore.

    Final Comments

So easy and so quick. Great with a little one running around the house and not alot of time in the kitchen!! Enjoy!!
