Spinach Dip
An old favorite that I trot out whenever friends gather. I'm pretty sure that it came from the back of a box of Knorr's Soup Mix. But that's ok: some of my all-time favorite recipes originally came from the backs of cans, bottles and boxes.
1 (10-oz.) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 (16-oz.) container sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 package Knorr Vegetable Soup and Recipe Mix
1 (8-oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
3 green onions, chopped
In medium bowl stir spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, soup mix, water chestnuts and green onions until well mixed. Cover. Chill at least 2 hours to blend flavors
Stir before serving.
Makes about 4 cups.
