    Easy Scalloped Potatoes

    List of Ingredients


    • 5 to 6 medium potatoes
    • 1/4 cup margarine
    • 3 tbsp. flour
    • 2 cups milk
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • Salt & pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Peel & slice potatoes (keep in cool water to keep from turning brown).


    2. Melt butter in 3 qt. saucepan.


    3. Stir in flour.


    4. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly, adding more milk if too thick.


    5. When sauce reaches desired consistency, remove from heat.


    6. Add onion, salt and pepper to taste.


    7. In greased 2 qt. casserole dish or 13 x9 inch dish, alternate layers of potatoes and sauce, ending with the sauce.


    8. Cover and bake @ 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.



    Final Comments


    Cheese can be sprinkled on the top after baking, if desired.
