    Candy Bar Fudge

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 cup butter or margerine
    1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
    1/4 cup firm packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup milk
    3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    30 caramels, unwrapped
    1 tablespoon water
    2 cups salted peanuts
    1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

    Recipe

    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, cocoa, brown sugar and milk. Microwave until mixture boils, about three minutes. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Pour into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.

    In another micorwave-safe bowl, heat caramels and water fortwo minutes or until melted. STir in peanuts; spread over chocolate layer. Mircrowave chocolate chips for one minute, or until melted; spread over caramel. Chill until firm.

    Probably the hardest part of this recipe is unwrapping the 30 caramels. It is a good idea to get them unwrapped before starting to make the fudge. And always buy a few extra, as the caramels seem to dissappear....
