    --- Brownie ---
    1 Pkg. Fudge Cake Mix (2-layer Size)*
    1 Teaspoon Almond Extract
    1 Can Cherry Pie Filling (21 Oz)
    2 Beaten Eggs
    --- Chocolate Frosting ---
    1 Cup Sugar
    5 Tablespoons Butter
    1/3 Cup Milk
    1 Pkg. Chocolate Chips (6 Oz.)

    *Can also use Fudge Brownie Mix, which produces a fudgier, more brownie-like cake.

    Brownie: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl mix cake mix, almond extract, cherry pie filling and beaten eggs; beat with mixer until well-blended. Pour into a greased, floured 13x9x2" baking dish and bake 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 1 to 2 hours before frosting. Let frosting set before cutting into squares.

    Chocolate Frosting: Bring sugar, butter and milk to a boil in a pan over medium-high heat. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir, making sure chocolate chips melt completely. Spread over cooled brownies and let set before cutting into squares.

    YIELD: 16 to 24 squares
