Sugar Cookies

1 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, cream the maragrine, and sugar.
Beat in extracts and egg.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
Gradually add to the creamed mixture, and blend through.
Chill for at least 1 hour.
On a surface sprinkled with powdered sugar, roll out 1 quarter of the doug to 1/8" thickness.
Cut out.*
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake@ 350 for 7-8 minutes.
Cool, frost and decorate.
* you can sprinkle with colored sugar before baking if desired.
