    Brisket Charbonade
    1 3 to 4# fresh Beef Brisket
    Salt and Pepper
    2 or 3 medium Onions, sliced
    1 12 oz. can Beer
    1 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
    2 tsp. Instant Beef Bouillon
    1 clove Garlic, minced
    1 Bay Leaf
    1/4 tsp. Thyme
    1 additional can of Beer

    Brisket Charbonade

    Trim excess fat from the brisket and season with salt and pepper. Place in roasting pan with 4 cups water.
    Cover with sliced onions.
    Add remaining ingredients into the beer and pour over meat.
    Add the additional can of beer to the water in bottom of the pan. Cover with foil if your roasting pan has no lid and bake at 350 degrees for 3 to 3-1/2 hours, or till tender.

    Chill overnight for easier slicing and brush with favorite BBQ Sauce.
    This will freeze for 4 months.
