    6 medium potatoes
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 slices bacon
    1 small onion -- chopped
    1/3 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 pound ground beef
    1 quart milk
    salt -- to taste
    pepper -- to taste

    Recipe



    Peel and dice potatoes; cover with water, add salt, and cook
    until tender. Mash slightly. Cut bacon into small pieces, mix with onion, and saut� until bacon is crisp and onion is clear. Remove onion and bacon from drippings and add to cooked potatoes. Work flour into ground meat until it is in coarse crumbles; fry in bacon drippings until crisp. Add to potatoes. Stir in milk and season with salt and pepper. Heat just to boiling point but do not boil.
