List of Ingredients
- 8 cups of popped microwave natural flavor popcorn
- 1/4 cup Spanish nuts
- 1/2 cup butter ( 1 stick )
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup white corn syrup
Instructions
- Spread popcorn and peanuts on a baking sheet and keep warm in your oven set to 300 while you prepare the topping. Do not preheat oven
- Melt butter in a medium pan on low heat
- Add sugar and syrup and simmer, stir constantly.
- Place a candy thermometer in mixture
- When it reaches 300, pour the topping over the warm popcorn and nuts.
- Place back in the oven for 5 minutes, stir again to coat. Repeat if necessary to coat all the corn.
- Pour onto wax paper. When cool break up chunks into bite size pieces.
- Store in an airtight container.
