base:

1 cup maple syrup, at room

Recipe
To make the base, preheat the oven to 350�. Mix together the melted butter, brown sugar and flour and press into a small cake pan (10x10 or 8x11).
Bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside. Set oven temperature to 400�.
To make the topping, add the beaten eggs to the maple syrup, stirring constantly. Add remaining topping ingredients and mix well. Spread over the base.
Bake for 5 minutes at 400�. Reduce the temperature to 350� and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until set.
