Broccoli Stuffed Meatloaf

1 1/4 pounds lean ground beef
1 egg
1/4 cup bread crumbs
4 green onions minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups broccoli florets
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon butter or margarine melted
1 tablespoon ketchup
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350�F.� Spray an 8x4-inch loaf pan with non-stick vegetable spray.
In a large mixing bowl combine ground beef, egg, half the bread crumbs, three fourths of the onion, three fourths of the salt, basil, and pepper; mix thoroughly.� Set aside.
Drop broccoli into a saucepan of boiling water; cook until crisp tender.� Drain thoroughly.
In a medium bowl, combine broccoli, cheese, remaining bread crumbs, green onions, and salt. Press half the meat mixture in prepared loaf pan, forming an indentation in the center.� Place broccoli mixture on top of meat mixture.� Place remaining meat mixture on top, sealing around the edges.�
Combine ketchup and butter.� Brush over the top of loaf. Bake for 1 hour or until loaf pulls away from the sides.� Cut into slices.
