    Custard: Caramel Custard Cups

    List of Ingredients

    4 tablespoons brown sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 cup evaporated milk
    2/3 cup water
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    few grains salt

    Recipe

    Divide the sugar between 4 custard cups. Press sugar lightly on bottom. Mix in 1 qt bowl the remaining ingredients and pour over the brown sugar. Set cups in a shallow pan holding 1 inch of hot water. Bake in 350�F oven 45 minutes or until knife inserted near edge of custard comes out clean. Cool, but do not chill. Loosen edges with knife. Unmold.
