    Shrimp: Shrimp Destin

    Recipe Introduction

    "This sunny Florida-Panhandle twist on Shrimp Scampi is saut�ed in garlic butter and served over toasted French rolls. Sent in by reader Frances Ponder of Destin, Florida, its enduring popularity landed it on Southern Living's list of top 25 all-time-favorite recipes 20 years later."

    List of Ingredients

    ◦ 1 cup butter
    ◦ � cup chopped green onions
    ◦ 2 teaspoons minced garlic
    ◦ 2 pounds unpeeled, large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
    ◦ 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    ◦ 1 tablespoon dry white wine
    ◦ � teaspoon salt
    ◦ � teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
    ◦ 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
    ◦ 1 tablespoon chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
    ◦ 3 French rolls, halved lengthwise and toasted

    Recipe

    Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high; add the green onions and garlic, and saut� 2 minutes or until onions are tender.

    Add the shrimp, lemon juice, wine, salt, and pepper; reduce heat to medium, and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Stir in the dill and parsley. Spoon shrimp mixture over toasted rolls, and serve immediately.

    Serves 6
