    Old Mill Barbecue Pork Rub

    Source of Recipe

    ?

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 cup dark brown sugar
    1/2 cup celery salt
    1/4 cup paprika
    1 1/4 Tablespoons chili powder
    1 Tablespoon black pepper
1 Tablespoon vinegar powder, (see note)
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire powder, (see note)
    1 1/2 teaspoons ground sage
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
    1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard powder
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    Recipe

Combine all of the ingredients in a sifter and sift to blend well. Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Use this rub for Pork Shoulder or Pork Ribs. Sprinkle in on heavily and cook over indirect heat.

Note: Vinegar & Worcestershire powders may be ordered from Spices Etc in Savannah, Georgia, toll free 1-800-827-6373.

    Yield: 1 1/2 Cups.
(this recipe was cut in half from one that yielded 3 cups - too much for my one little rack of Ribs - Actually, it is suggested that only 1/4 Cup of Rub is needed for 3 to 4 pounds of Pork Ribs.)
