    Neapolitan Spaghetti

    A great potluck dish and you don't have to worry about the noodles getting soggy.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1/2 c. butter
    • 1 1/2 c green peppers, chopped
    • 2 medium onions, chopped
    • 2 tbls. garlic salt
    • 1/2 c. parsley flakes
    • 6 lbs. ground beef
    • 1 gallon can tomatoes (try to find crushed or diced tomatoes)
    • 1 gallon can tomatoe puree
    • salt to taste.


    1. Saute onion and pepper in butter.
    2. Add salts, parsley and ground beef. Cook until meat is light brown.
    3. Add tomato products; simmer until creamy in consistency, stirring frequently to prevent sticking and burning.
    4. My favorite way to serve: Pour heated sauce over hot cooked and drained spaghetti in a baking pan. Sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese and bake at 350 until cheese melts.

    Final Comments

    This freezes well, so make it up and you can skip the expensive jars of spaghetti sauce in the market.
