    Salmon in the Dishwasher

    List of Ingredients

    Salmon
    5-6 lb fresh whole salmon (no tail or head)
    seasonings (pepper, salt, lemon, to taste)
    light tin foil
    heavy tin foil
    dishwasher

    Sauce
    1/2 cup tomato ketchup
    1 cup miracle whip
    1 tsp. granulated sugar
    3/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 cup Crisco oil
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 tsp. white vinegar

    Recipe

    Rinse salmon and pat dry. Add seasonings to your own taste i.e. pepper, fresh lemon, fresh dill, grub rub, etc.

    Wrap whole filleted salmon in a light tin foil. Rewrap with a heavy duty tin foil. Make sure there are no tears or openings in either layers of foil.

    Place wrapped salmon in top rack of dishwasher. Run dishwasher on normal cycle (no soap).

    Start preparing your sauce.

    Mix all sauce ingredients in bowl. Pour mixture into a squeeze bottle and refrigerate.

    When dishwasher had completed all cycles including heat dry, remove salmon packet from dishwasher and unwrap.
    Cut into 4" steaks and drizzle sauce on top of salmon. Serve.

    Note: Possible side dishes - steamed asparagus or mashed sweet potatoes.

    Salmon can be served warm or cold.
