    West Texas Spaghetti

    Source of Recipe

    Wright Family Recipe

    Recipe Introduction

This recipe was introduced at a Wright family gathering. I recently discovered that I made significant changes to the original recipe. The original recipe called for a jar of spaghetti sauce, green olives and Velveeta instead of Cheddar.

    List of Ingredients

    6 oz. pkg. spaghetti
    1 cans tomato soup
    1/2 t. chili powder
    1/4 green pepper, chopped
    1/4 onion, chopped
    1/2 - 3/4 pound hamburger
    salt & pepper to taste
2 oz. can chopped black olives
    1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded

    Recipe

Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain; set aside. Brown hamburger, green pepper and onion until hamburger is browned and onion translucent. Drain hamburger; mix in spaghetti, soup, chili powder, salt and pepper. Pour into greased 8-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Sprinkle on black olives, if desired. Put in refrigerator until ready to bake. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes (longer if refrigerated) until bubbly. This is a great casserole dish for potluck dinners.
