    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    List of Ingredients




    8.5 oz jar Hoison sauce
    3 T ketchup
    3 T brown sugar
    1 T soy sauce
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    1/2 tsp five spice powder
    1 tsp red food color
    pork tenderloins (usually packaged in pairs)

    Recipe



    Combine the marinade ingredients.
    Cut the fat and silver skin from the pork. Place meat in a gallon Ziploc bag and marinate overnight. Turn and slosh 2 times or so.
    Line a baking pan with aluminum foil and place a rack over the foil. Place tenderloins on rack (reserving marinade).
    bake on upper rack, 25 minutes. spoon marinade generously over tenderloins. Bake 20 minutes.
    Set the oven to broil and broil the tenderloins for 5-6 minutes, until it begins to char slightly, being careful not to burn.
    Remove from oven and cool undisturbed for 30-60 minutes.
    To serve as an appetizer, thinly slice across the grain, on the bias. Serve small bowls of hot Chinese mustard, ketchup and toasted sesame seeds, for dipping.
