    Shakers
    Boil 2 cups pork in 4 quarts water. Drain meat and reserve 3 quarts of the stock. Grind or chop the meat.
    Bring the stock to a boil, add to it 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp sage, 1/8 tsp marjoram and 1/2 tsp pepper. Whisk in 2 cups cornmeal and 2 cups whole wheat flour and the pork. Cook about 1 1/2 hours, stirring. Pour into dishes or loaf pans. Chill. Slice down and fry in hot fat until browned.
