    List of Ingredients




    8 egg yolks
    1 C New Orleans molasses
    2 C boiling milk
    2 C heavy cream
    1/2 C chopped almonds

    Recipe



    Mix egg yolks and molasses and slowly stir in the boiling milk. Cook over hot water in a double boiler, stirring with a wooden spoon or enamel spoon slowly, and do not let boil. When the mixture begins to thicken, remove from the fire and let cool, continuing to stir it. When cool add the cream and chopped roasted nuts. Freeze. (pack in equal parts ice and salt and let stand for four hours without stirring.)
    Serves 6-8.
