    Fluffer Nutter Bars

    Source of Recipe

Adapted by Culinary in the Country from Sweet Maria's Cookie Jar

    Recipe Introduction

    These are yummy!
My changes: cut the recipe in half and baked them in an 8 inch pan; reduced the sugar by 1/4th in the crust part; reduced the salt by 1/2 because I also used salted cocktail peanuts; used mostly milk chocolate and a little bit of semi-sweet; and had to bake them a bit longer than 20 min. Yum!

    List of Ingredients

    Base:
    8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup peanut butter
    1 large egg
    1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    Marshmallow topping:
    2 cups marshmallow fluff
    1 cup unsalted peanuts
    1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350

In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Mix in peanut butter until combined. Add in the egg and mix until well blended.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture and beat just until combined. Scoop mixture into a 9x13" baking dish and form a crust by pressing it on the bottom and slightly up the sides.

Spread fluff over the base crust. Scatter peanuts over the marshmallow fluff and then add chocolate chips on top.

Bake 15-20 minutes or until top is lightly browned.

Remove and place on a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into bars - I made 28 squares.
