    Tasted this "out of this world" ketchup at my Aunt Mireille's home for a Christmas Dinner in 2004. Brought me back to my childhood when my Grandmother on Dad's side made her own ketchup from her homegrown tomatoes, and she would send a jar of hot ketchup to our home to eat with a loaf of warm bread. Memories are made of this!

    List of Ingredients


    • 9 tasses de tomates
    • 3 tasses de c�leri broy� (3/4 pied)
    • 2 tasses d�oignons broy�s
    • 1 1/2 tasses de piment vert broy�s (1 1/2 piment)
    • 1 tasse de vinaigre de cidre de pomme ou de vin
    • 4 tasses de sucre
    • 1 sachet d��pices � marinade


    Instructions


    1. M�langer les tomates, le celeri, les oignons et le piment et saupoudrer de 2 c. table de gros sel. Bien m�langer et couvrir. Laisser reposer toute une nuit. �goutter une couple d�heures.
    2. Dans une casserole, m�langer 1 tasse de vinaigre de cidre de pomme ou de vin (plus s�il le faut pour couvrir de pr�s le tout.)
    3. Ajouter 4 tasses de sucre et un sachet d��pices � marinade (mettre les �pices dans un sac, attacher, et enlever apr�s cuisson).


    Final Comments


    This awesome tasting ketchup accompanied our Dinner Entree, Osso Bucco. What a memorable meal! Thank you Aunt Mireille.
