Breakfast Cube Steaks with Cream Gravy

1 1/4 pounds cube steak -- cut into pieces
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika -- optional
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons sesoned flour mixture
Cut up cube steaks to make 4 even portions. Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika, if using.
Melt butter and vegetable oil in skillet over medium-low heat. Coat steaks in seasoned flour mixture. Brown in hot butter mixture. This should take about 2 to 5 minutes per side, depending on thickeness.
Keep steaks warm while making gravy.
In skillet add 2 tablespoons of the seasoned flour mixture to the drippings. Stir until well mixed and heat until bubbly. Add milk and whisk until smooth. Bring to a gentle boil and cook 1 minute. Serve with steaks. Serves 4.
