    Pecan Tarts

    Favorite at Christmas
    Preheat oven; 350 degrees
    Makes 4 doz.


    List of Ingredients


    • TARTS SHELLS;
    • 1/2 cup margarine
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 egg yolks
    • 1 tsp. almond extract
    • 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
    • FILLING:
    • 1/2 cup margarine
    • 1/3 cup dark corn syrup
    • 1 cup confectioners sugar
    • 1 cup chopped pecans


    Instructions


    1. TART SHELLS:
    2. Mix margaine and sugar. Stir in egg yolks, almond extract and sifted flour.
    3. Press evenly into tiny tart shells or muffin cups.
    4. Bake 400 degrees 8 to 10 minutes.
    5. FILLING:
    6. Bring to a boil, margarine, corn syrup and confectioners sugar. Stir in pecans.
    7. Spoon into shells. Top with pecan halves.
    8. Bake in 350 degree oven for 5 minutes. Cool. Makes 4 doz.
