    Sweet & Tangy Onions

    4 c. boiling onions � or � 2 c. frozen small onions

    2 T. honey
    2 T. white wine vinegar
    1 T. snipped fresh basil � or � 1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
    1/4 tsp sage

    If using boiling onions, in covered medium saucepan, cook onions in a small amount of boiling water for 8-10 minutes or just until tender. Cool slightly, peel. If using frozen onions, cook according to package directions; drain in colander.

    In same saucepan, combine remaining ingredients. Add onions. Cook and stir until onions are glazed and heated through.

    One serving equals: 60 calories�0 fat�0 cholesterol�8 mg sodium�15 gm carbohydrate�1 gm fiber�1 gm protein +++ Exchanges: 2 vegetable +++ WWP:1
