    Peach French Toast

    List of Ingredients

    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 tbsp. water
    1 (29 oz.) can sliced peaches, drained
    12 slices French bread
    5 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tbsp. vanilla


    In a saucepan, bring brown sugar, butter and water to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Top with peaches. Whisk eggs, milk and vanilla. Slowly pour over bread slices placed over peaches. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover and bake at 350F for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 25 to 30 minutes longer or until bread is golden brown.
