    I LOVED THIS CAKE WHEN I WAS YOUNG. YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 3/4 CUP SUGAR
    • 3 EGGS
    • 1 CUP COOKING OIL
    • 2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
    • 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
    • 1 TEASPOON SALT
    • 2 CUPS SLICED APPLES
    • 1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS
    • (APPLE CAKE FILLING INGREDIENTS)
    • 1 CUP SUGAR
    • 1/2 STICK OLEO
    • 1 TEASPOON WHITE SYRUP
    • 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
    • 1/2 CUP BUTTERMILK
    • 1/2 TEASPOON VANILLA


    Instructions


    1. BEAT WELL FIRST 3 INGREDIENTS AND MIX UNTIL CREAMY.
    2. SIFT TOGETHER FLOUR, SODA, CINNAMON, AND SALT.
    3. ADD TO CREAMY MIXTURE. MIX WELL.
    4. FOLD IN APPLES AND NUTS.
    5. POUR INTO A GREASED CAKE PAN IN A 350 OVEN FOR 1 HOUR.
    6. PREPARE FILLING BY MIXING ALL FILLING INGREDIENTS AND BOIL TO THE SOFT BALL STAGE.
    7. PUNCH HOLES IN THE CAKE WITH A FORK.
    8. WHILE BOTH THE CAKE AND THE FILLING ARE HOT, POUR FILLING OVER THE CAKE.
