    dried/chipped - Creamed Dried Beef

    Serve with mashed potatoes and a vegetable or spoon
    over buttered toast.

    dried/chipped - Creamed Dried Beef

    4 Tablespoons butter
    1, 8 ounce package dried chipped beef
    1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon brown sugar
    1/4 cup flour
    1 cup milk

    Slice beef into strips, about 3/8 inches wide.
    Cut strips in half and set aside.
    Melt butter and saute beef over a medium heat for
    5 minutes.
    Sprinkle brown sugar over beef, stirring constantly.
    Sprinkle in flour, a little at a time, stirring constantly
    until all flour is coated on the beef and mixed in well.
    Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly.
    Keep stirring the sauce as it thickens.
    If it is thicker than you like, add milk a little at a
    time until it is however creamy you want it.
    Makes 4 servings.
