    steak - Baked Steak, easy

    Source of Recipe

    from leierermom at rdj
Hello food-lovers! Quite a few years ago, I moved to a new town as a
young bride and was befriended by a group of young mothers in a
baby-sitting exchange. We used to share recipes, like this one which
smelled devine while baking, and turned out so tender that I fixed it
for my mother in law! I would think it could be cooked in a Crockpot,
too, although I have not tried it that way, and now I'm not sure why
    not!

    steak - Baked Steak, easy

4 pounds beef round steak OR sirloin steak,
...3/4 inch thick cut, with fat trimmed,
    ...(may be tenderized)
1 - 10.5 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
1 - 10.5 oz. can cream of celery soup
    1 - 10 oz. can onion soup
    Flour
    Oil

Cut the steak into serving size pieces.
Dredge in flour and brown on both sides in a skillet.
Place the meat in a baking dish.
Combine the soups together and pour over the meat in
    the dish, spreading to cover.
Bake at 325 degrees F. for 1 1/2 hours, or until tender.
(May also be baked at 225 degrees for 4 to 5 hours.)

    Note:
This amount of sauce will do 4 to 5 pounds of steak.
