    scratch - Chocolate Marshmallow Cake

    1/2 cup softened margarine
    1 cup white granulated sugar
    4 eggs
    1 cup self rising flour
    1, 16 ounce can Hershey syrup
    1 cup chopped nuts, optional
    1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring
    1, 7 ounce jar marshmallow creme

    for the frosting:
    1/2 cup margarine
    2 cups white granulated sugar
    1/2 cup powdered cocoa
    1/2 cup milk

    for the cake:
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13x2 inch pan.
    Cream the butter, then gradually add sugar.
    Add the eggs, one at a time, until well blended.
    Blend in flour, syrup, nuts and vanilla. Bake for 35 - 40 minutes.
    Spread the marshmallow creme over the warm cake.

    for the frosting:
    Place all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until
    it boils. Let it boil 1 minute. Remove from heat.
    Beat for 9 minutes with an electric mixer. Pour over top of the
    marshmallow creme on the cake.
