    scratch - Cranberry Pudding Cake w/sauce

    This did not come with instructions as to what size pan
    or what to do with the baking pan before baking. I am
    thinking it is a 1 layer type cake because of only the 1 cup
    of flour. And I would grease and flour the pan before
    pouring the cake batter into it.

    scratch - Cranberry Pudding Cake w/sauce

    for cake:
    1 1/2 Tablespoons butter
    1/2 cup granulated white sugar
    1/4 cup water
    1/4 cup evaporated milk
    1 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup whole cranberries
    for sauce:
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. Carnation evaporated milk
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
    Mix together ingredients for the cake.
    Bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
    Make sauce:
    Mix all ingredients for sauce, simmer 2 minutes.
    Stir while still warm.
    Serve sauce warm over cake.
