    Fruit or Vegetable Leather

    Source of Recipe

    ???

    List of Ingredients

    2 - 4 cups pureed fruit
(such as apples, peaches or combination of fruits
    such as apples and raspberries)
    sugar, corn syrup or honey

    Recipe

    Sweeten fruit to taste.
Remember the flavor becomes concentrated when dried.
Spread pureed fruit 1/4 inch thick evenly on plastic sheets
    in the dehydrator pans.
Dry in a food dehydrator about 12-24 hours.
When the leather feels tacky it is ready to eat.
If desired, peel plastic off back of leather.
Dry until that side is tacky.
Leather may be cut into shapes with a sharp knife or cookie cutter.
You can also wrap pieces of dried fruit with the sticky side of leather.
Vegetable leathers can be made in the same way.
These can be eaten as a snack or reconstituted for tomato sauce or instant
    soup.

Note: Or line a jelly roll pan or baking sheet with plastic wrap.
You may need to dampen sheet so the plastic sticks to it.
    Dry in 120 - 150 degreeF oven for 12 - 24 hours.
