    Bottom Layer:
    1/2 cup sifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup CRISCO all-vegetable shortening or 1/2 CRISCO Stick
    Filling:
    1 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
    1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
    Glaze:
    1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
    1 tablespoon CRISCO all-vegetable shortening or 1 tablespoon CRISCO Stick

    Preheat oven to 325�F.
    For Bottom Layer, combine flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in Crisco with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture is well blended. Turn dough into a 9-inch square pan and press into an even layer.
    Bake at 325�F for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Meanwhile, for filling, combine sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add eggs, lemon juice, and peel; mix thoroughly.
    Remove baked layer from oven and pour filling over bottom layer.
    Return to oven and bake for 25 minutes.
    For Glaze, combine all ingredients. Remove pan from oven and spread glaze over lemon filling. Cool thoroughly before cutting into bars.
