    Macaluso's-Style Grilled Veal with Brocc

    List of Ingredients


    • Grilled Veal:
    • 1 tsp fresh chopped basil
    • 2 cloves finely chopped garlic
    • 1/4 tsp paprika
    • Salt
    • Freshly ground black pepper
    • 3 Tbsp finest extra-virgin olive oil,first cold-pressed
    • 2 veal fillets(4-6 ozs. each),thinly pounded
    • Broccoli Rabe:
    • 3 cups cleaned broccoli rabe(a healthy vegetable in the turnip family)
    • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil,first cold pressed
    • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 4 whole cloves garlic(peeled)
    • Pinch crushed red pepper


    Instructions


    1. To make the grilled veal:Mix the basil,garlic,paprika, salt,and pepper with the olive oil. Place the veal in the mixture and hand stir. Place the veal on a grill and pour the remaining marinade on top. Grill over med-high heat until done(approximately 3 min. per side).
    2. To make the broccoli rabe:Rinse the broccoli rabe in cold water and drain completely. Pour the oil,pepper, salt,garlic,and red pepper into stock pot. Warm the oil over med. heat. Place the broccoli rabe in the pot,cover and cook for 4-7 min. or until tender.
    3. Place the cooked broccoli rabe on a plate and serve with the grilled veal on top.
    4. 2 servings
