    Just adorable to make for Easter

    List of Ingredients




    12 each egg
    5 drops blue, red, or green food color
    your favorite deviled egg recipe
    chopped pimientos, garnish
    shredded carrot, garnish

    Recipe



    1. Hard boil eggs. . . When done, drain and immediately run cold water over eggs to stop cooking. Peel eggs.

    2. In a measuring cup combine 1/2 cup water and the food color of your choice. . . dip peeled eggs, 1 at a time, into mix for several seconds until desired color. Pat dry with a paper towel.

    3. Cut a thin slice from the bottom of each egg, so it will stand up straight.

    4. With a small sharp knife, cut off top of each egg about 1/3 of the way down, to make a zig-zag edge.

    5. Carefully remove top portion and set aside.

    6. With knife tip or small spoon, remove yolk from bottom portion or each egg

    7. Make your favorite deviled egg recipe

    8. With a small spoon, refill large (bottom) section of egg with mixture, heaping filling.

    9. Place the top portion on each egg.

    10. Place two tiny pimento pieces on yolk mixture to resemble eyes

    11. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until well chilled

    12. place some shredded carrot in muffin tin and place one "Chick" in each.
