    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cup navy beans
    • 1/2 lb salt pork
    • 6 sprigs parsley
    • 1 large onion
    • 1 green pepper
    • 2 sweet red peppers
    • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
    • 6 Tbsp ketchup


    Instructions


    1. Soak beans overnight in cold water. Drain and save liquid. Run through foodchopper.
    2. Scald and remove rind from salt pork. Cut into pieces.
    3. Mix all remaining ingredients into beans.
    4. Cover with fresh water and simmer 2 hours.
    5. Place into bean pot, add enough liquid to cover beans.
    6. Cover and bake at 300 for 2 1/2 hours. Remove cover and bake 1 1/2 hours longer.
