    Oma`s Sauerkraut Balls

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 lb. cooked pork
    1/2 lb. cooked ham
    1 can corned beef
    2 cups sauerkraut, drained WELL
    1 tablespoon mustard
    1 onion chopped fine
    1 tablespoon parsley
    1 cups milk
    3 tablespoons shortening
    1 tsp salt
    2 cups flour
    4 eggs
    bread crumbs


    Recipe



    Put meat through grinder, run sauerkraut through twice. Place
    shortening in large skillet
    and brown meat and other ingredients except kraut. Stir
    constantly until very thick. (I brown my meat and
    onions...then add the rest and when it starts to thicken I finish
    it in the micro in smaller batches...it burns easy so this is the
    better way and you don't have to constantly stir it. Just be
    sure to stir every so often while in mirco too though so it
    doesn't become lumpy.) Add kraut and cool to room
    temperature. Form into small balls...dip in flour...egg and
    bread crumbs....deep fry until golden brown.

    Use a food processor... MUCH EASIER.
